Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 cups hot water
  • Vanilla ice cream optional, for serving

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt

Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well mixed

Fold in chopped pecans and chocolate chips

Spread this batter evenly in a greased slow cooker

In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa powder

Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in the slow cooker

Pour hot water over the top, but do not stir

Cover the slow cooker and cook on High for 2 hours or until the cake is set and the pudding is bubbling
