Potato Bajji is a popular Indian snack made by dipping thinly sliced potatoes in a spiced gram flour batter and deep-frying until crispy and golden brown. Its a delicious and satisfying snack perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 2 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup gram flour besan
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water, as needed for batter
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
Put gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, and salt in a bowl and mix them together
Add water little by little until you have a smooth, thick batter
Put oil in a deep pan and heat it over medium-low heat
Make sure all the potato slices are covered in batter when you dip them in it
Drop the potato slices carefully into the hot oil
Once you start to see golden brown and crispy bits, keep turning the food so it cooks evenly
Take the bajjis out of the oil and lay them on paper towels to soak up the extra oil
Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce
