Ingredients:
- 1 can 15
- 25 oz corn kernels, drained
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
- 1/4 cup diced jalapeno optional
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Dice the ham, add it to the slow cooker with the corn, cheddar cheese, onion, bell pepper, and jalapeno if using
Slowly melt the butter in a small saucepan
Add the flour and stir it in
Cook for one to two minutes, until it turns golden brown
Mix in the milk slowly while whisking
This should take about two to three minutes
Put the milk mixture into the slow cooker and stir it in with the other things that are in it
Add pepper and salt to taste
On low heat, cover and cook for two to three hours, or until hot all the way through and the cheese melts
Before serving, stir it up well
